TRU’s Risk Management Department is staffed by industry and clinical experts dedicated to the success of our Stop Loss programs, from both the internal and client perspectives.
We manage the information and monthly reporting relating to all notifications of potential catastrophic loss submitted by our policyholders or their Third Party Administrator partners. Our dedicated support staff reviews and organizes all notifications and works closely with our staff RNs to identify those potential risks requiring additional clinical review. Our staff RNs complete clinical assessments of the information provided to us and also work closely with our TPAs and case management vendors to secure any additional clinical data needed to determine an individual’s risk.
The Risk Management Department assists TRU’s Claims and Underwriting Departments, by assessing ongoing excess loss claims, reviewing risk associated with potential new business, and providing clinical projections on in-force business for the underwriters at renewal.
